Superintendent, Building Construction

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead field teams to safely deliver ground-up construction projects on schedule within budget and to quality standards.
• Promote site safety by ensuring compliance with company policies the Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Plan and all applicable OH&S regulations.
• Plan and coordinate site operations including logistics scheduling workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor project schedules identify risks or delays and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients consultants subcontractors and suppliers.
• Supervise and mentor field staff including forepersons carpenters and labour crews while promoting the companys core values.
• Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects to completion

Qualifications

• 410 years of experience as a Superintendent managing ground-up (new-build) commercial residential institutional or industrial construction projects.
• Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Proven ability to lead field operations from site mobilization through project completion including coordinating trades subcontractors schedules and site logistics.
• Strong safety mindset with a demonstrated commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations company policies and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of construction methods drawings specifications scheduling building codes and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively lead field teams and collaborate with clients consultants and subcontractors.

Working Conditions

• Site-based position in Saskatoon SK
• Primarily based on active construction sites with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
• May require occasional travel to project sites and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to support project schedules.
