What is the Opportunity
CanAtom a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube feeder and boiler replacement (RFBR) of Units 58. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project the CanAtom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontarios clean energy future.
Reporting to the Subcontracts Manager the Subcontracts Coordinator is responsible for issuing material requisitions of commodities equipment and services as well as shipping/receiving functions.
What Youll Do Here:
- Prepare Subcontracts for services including post-award contract administration tasks.
- The coordination of purchases for a wide range of materials and services.
- Prepare and review purchase requisitions and related documentation to ensure clarity and completeness with the description of materials components or equipment quantity adherence to quality assurance requirements and obtain required authorization to proceed with the purchase.
- Enter purchase requisitions and other associated essential data into the Project database SAP or other similar system
- Ensure proper drawings technical specifications and quotes are included with the SAP requisitions.
- This position will be the primary Liaison to maintain effective communication between the Project Team Engineering Construction and Procurement to ensure materials and services are purchased in accordance with quality requirements while adhering to schedule.
- Work closely with the Procurement team to develop reports and provide updates as required regarding delivery dates and financial data.
- Monitor material deliveries to assist Procurement and Materials Management teams to identify critical deliveries to site.
- Expediting of materials as required.
- Work from Whitby-Tricont Office.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 5 years experience in the Construction Industry in a procurement or project coordination role.
- Bachelors degree or an educational background in Supply Chain Business Administration or Engineering is required.
- Able to travel between Whitby-Tricont office Pickering office and site on occasion.
- Experience in drafting and administering contracts.
- Basic knowledge of contract administration procedures.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
- Good Interpersonal skills are essential.
- Customer service oriented.

The expected pay range for this role is $65000 - $75000 per year.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors including work location education experience unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications specialized training and the complexity or scope of the role.
