Key Responsibilities
HSE Support & Compliance
Support the implementation of company HSE policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Assist with hazard identification risk assessments and safety observations.
Promote safe work practices across daily operations.
Training & Orientation
Coordinate and assist with new hire orientations.
Maintain employee training records and competency tracking.
Participate in and support daily safety meetings.
Transportation Safety
Review driver logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) data.
Maintain driver qualification files and compliance documentation.
Support transportation safety and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Programs & Procedures
Assist with updating safety procedures manuals and documentation.
Support contractor onboarding and compliance processes.
Participate in emergency preparedness activities and drills.
Incident Management
Assist with incident reporting and basic investigations.
Track corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide general administrative and operational support to the HSE team.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in an HSE safety or safety support role.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both field and office personnel.
Working knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia Occupational Health & Safety legislationWCB and the National Safety Code (NSC).
Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
Skills & Experience
Experience supporting transportation trucking or logistics operations is considered a strong asset.
Familiarity with ELD systems driver compliance auditing and safety management software.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
