A leading Canadian engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join its growing Structural team. The firm provides multidisciplinary services across structural engineering restoration capital planning building envelope mechanical electrical accessibility and energy optimization with a strong focus on collaboration and technical excellence.
You will work on institutional commercial and residential projects including both new builds and existing building assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and analyze structural systems for new builds renovations and restoration projects
Conduct assessments of existing buildings and develop engineering solutions
Prepare structural calculations reports specifications and construction documents
Conduct site reviews and provide construction-phase support
Collaborate with architects contractors clients and internal teams
Support project planning budgeting and delivery
Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
Mentor junior staff as needed
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)
25 years of structural design experience in consulting
Experience with institutional commercial or residential buildings
Strong knowledge of structural design principles materials and codes
Proficiency with ETABS S-Frame spSlab (or similar) and AutoCAD/Revit
Valid drivers license and access to transportation
. (or working toward / eligible for registration with PEO EGBC APEGA or equivalent)
