Structural Design Engineer

A leading Canadian engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join its growing Structural team. The firm provides multidisciplinary services across structural engineering restoration capital planning building envelope mechanical electrical accessibility and energy optimization with a strong focus on collaboration and technical excellence.

You will work on institutional commercial and residential projects including both new builds and existing building assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new builds renovations and restoration projects
• Conduct assessments of existing buildings and develop engineering solutions
• Prepare structural calculations reports specifications and construction documents
• Conduct site reviews and provide construction-phase support
• Collaborate with architects contractors clients and internal teams
• Support project planning budgeting and delivery
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor junior staff as needed

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)
• 25 years of structural design experience in consulting
• Experience with institutional commercial or residential buildings
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles materials and codes
• Proficiency with ETABS S-Frame spSlab (or similar) and AutoCAD/Revit
• Valid drivers license and access to transportation
