About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office on Walkley Road 2 days a week.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Plan design and maintain the Hot Topics internal communications website ensuring timely accurate and engaging weekly merchandising updates for stores.

• Execute the creation and maintenance of store layouts in Illustrator to support merchandising and store presentation requirements.

• Develop visual materials and mock-ups using Adobe Suites to support and execute monthly Softgoods Hardgoods and Grocery MKIPs and related initiatives.

• Maintain and organize the Content Management System for store layouts and other merchandising projects to support accessibility and consistency.

• Deliver readership and engagement reports through BI tools to identify communication trends opportunities and areas for improvement.

• Coordinate and maintain calendars timelines and approvals for MKIPs drawing reviews translations and Hot Topics communications.

What Youll Bring:

• Minimum High School Diploma

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience and knowledge of retail business processes

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (MS Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint) and AS400/Profound

• Intermediate experience with Adobe suite (Dreamweaver Illustrator Photoshop)

• Experience using Chat GPT or AI systems to aid creating visual assets

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

• High attention to detail excellent organizational skills and trouble-shooting skills

• Ability to communicate virtually on a regular basis and participate in calls via MS Teams

• Excellent communication skills

Assets You May Have:

• HTML website/coding experience

• Experience using Sketchup or 3D programs

• Visual Merchandising experience
