ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the extraction compilation analysis reporting and application of statistical data and metrics for programs and services; ensuring data integrity and databases meet data governance requirements. This role is also interpreting summarizing creating and maintaining statistical data files; writing reports and dashboards on trends and analysis; designing and developing complex spreadsheet and database applications; contributing to the development and monitoring of surveillance indicators and systems and developing service profiles.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Compiles analyzes models and reports on various statistical data from a variety of sources/databases to identify trends that will impact on strategic planning for programs and services and recommends appropriate service delivery strategies to address and/or mitigate the impacts.
Develops and maintains metrics dashboards visualizations and reports.
Monitors and reviews database information and conducts data audits reviews and edits contents to ensure data integrity.
Coordinates and prepares comprehensive data analysis and statistical reports for research policy program and service activities and to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Designs and/or revises complex database and spreadsheet applications including the collection manipulation and analysis of statistical data.
Prepares reports relating to budget and statistical data to meet Government Department/Branch/Division objectives and mandates.
Coordinates the collection reconciliation submission and reporting of data from within the Department other Departments and external organizations.
Develops service profiles utilizing data from various databases and external sources; conducts benchmarking of other program/services to determine and develop best practices for reporting and process improvements.
Responds to inquiries and resolves concerns as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Successful completion of a University Degree in Business Administration Mathematics Statistics Health Sciences or relevant field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum three (3) years experience in statistical data analysis and data management including database design spreadsheet applications and report writing.
Strong report writing research analytical and presentation skills and work to tight deadlines.
Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret and reconcile complex statistical reports.
Demonstrated skills establishing maintaining and producing complex databases/spreadsheets including current experience with database design report generation and modifications.
