Job Summary

Were hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to design and evolve the distributed systems powering Kaseyas SaaS platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building scalable backend services improving platform reliability and enabling AI-powered product capabilities. Youll partner with Product Data Platform and Engineering teams to deliver production-ready systems that support high-volume customer workloads.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
• Architect distributed systems supporting high-volume transactional and event-driven workloads
• Design APIs service integrations and messaging patterns that support platform scalability and reliability
• Improve observability monitoring performance and operational readiness across production systems
• Partner with Data and ML teams to integrate AI-powered capabilities into customer-facing workflows
• Participate in incident response root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives
• Lead technical design reviews and contribute to long-term platform architecture decisions
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of software engineering experience building production systems
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment
• Experience building backend services using Go Java Python Rust or similar technologies
• Experience designing APIs microservices and event-driven architectures
• Experience working with AWS Azure or GCP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating systems supporting large-scale or high-volume workloads
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka RabbitMQ SQS or Pub/Sub
• Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog Prometheus Grafana or OpenTelemetry
• Experience leading platform modernization or large-scale architecture initiatives
• Experience integrating AI or machine learning capabilities into production systems
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design reviews
• Experience working with relational databases and distributed caching technologies
