Sr. APEX/ORDS Software Developer
Project Overview
The APEX/ORDS Evergreening initiative aims to modernize five mission-critical applications for the Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks (MECP). The project involves upgrading Oracle Database Oracle APEX Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and Red Hat Linux infrastructure that has reached end-of-life while preparing the applications for cloud hosting in alignment with Ontarios Digital and Data Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop enhance and maintain enterprise web applications using Oracle APEX.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Translate technical specifications into well-designed tested and maintainable applications.
- Develop SQL and PL/SQL code stored procedures packages and database objects.
- Design and optimize Oracle database schemas and data models.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including:
- Requirements analysis
- Design

- Perform application performance tuning and optimization.
- Analyze legacy applications and provide modernization recommendations.
- Support implementation migrations and post-production issues.
