Position Overview

The Government Services Integration Cluster is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer Front End to design develop test implement and support modern front-end applications within a large-scale enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on development experience with React TypeScript JavaScript HTML5/CSS RESTful web services Spring Framework Java Oracle and responsive web application development. The resource will work closely with IT professionals business stakeholders subject matter experts project teams and external partners throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.

Current and hands-on development experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and implement front-end code including user interface interactions and attractive effective user interfaces.
Translate technical system specifications into working tested applications.
Develop detailed programming specifications and write or generate application code.
Compile test debug document deploy and maintain applications.
Perform unit testing and participate in front-end testing and debugging.
Troubleshoot technical issues arising during software package use and operation.
Provide technical assistance for implementation conversion and migration activities.
Develop responsive web applications and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Work with complex large-scale systems and enterprise applications.
Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
Elicit and document requirements and information from diverse business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Participate in design walkthroughs with project teams.
Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
Prepare user and system documentation as required.
Apply structured software development methodologies and Agile practices.
Support application deployment troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
Work effectively within large organizations and multidisciplinar

Java Development 20%

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an Intermediate Front-End Software Developer with current hands-on development experience in enterprise environments. They should be comfortable working across the front-end and supporting technology stack collaborating with large multidisciplinary teams and delivering accessible responsive high-performing web applications.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate practical experience with React TypeScript JavaScript REST APIs HTML5/CSS Java Spring Oracle AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA Agile methodologies Jamstack responsive design testing/debugging optimization and version control.
