Carlson Construction Group is seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic hands-on construction leader to oversee complex heavy civil and marine construction projects while contributing to the continued growth and innovation of one of British Columbias most respected construction organizations.
As a Senior Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving project success from conception through completion. You will lead multidisciplinary teams foster strong client relationships and deliver projects safely efficiently and profitably. Your expertise will help advance innovative construction methodologies and strengthen Carlsons position as an industry leader in heavy civil and marine construction.

What Youll Do
As a key member of our Operations team you will:
Lead the planning execution and successful delivery of complex heavy civil and marine construction projects.
Plan organize direct and control all phases of project operations.
Develop maintain and optimize project schedules to ensure work is completed safely on time and within budget.
Manage project financial performance including budgeting forecasting cost control profitability and reporting.
Prepare negotiate and administer contracts subcontracts change orders and contractual revisions.
Review and resolve contractual issues including additions deletions claims and dispute resolution.
Collaborate with Project Administrators to oversee billing accounts receivable document control and project reporting.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients consultants subcontractors suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate the efficient deployment of personnel equipment materials and project resources.
Provide technical guidance and support for complex field operations and construction methodologies.
Mentor and develop Project Managers Project Coordinators and emerging construction professionals.
Support business development initiatives client retention efforts and strategic growth opportunities.
Champion Carlsons commitment to Health Safety Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) excellence on every project.
What Youll Bring
Required Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline.
Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or ASTTBC.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive project management experience including significant experience leading heavy civil marine or infrastructure projects.
Strong working knowledge of:
o Heavy civil construction methods and practices
o Marine construction operations
o Cranes barges marine equipment and related logistics
Proven success managing subcontractors suppliers vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong understanding of:
o Contract administration and risk management
o Project controls and scheduling
o Cost forecasting and financial management
o Construction procurement processes
Experience preparing and reviewing:
o Construction schedules
o Purchase orders
o Change orders
o Project documentation and reports
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project Microsoft Office Suite and project management software systems.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License.

Salary: $160 - $180k per annum
The
actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on
jobrelated factors including relevant experience years of experience
qualifications internal equity and Carlson Construction Groups compensation
policy.
