The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of projects in the field. Working closely with the Project Manager youll lead crews coordinate equipment and subcontractors maintain a safe work environment and ensure projects are delivered on time and to Brancos quality standards.
At Branco youll have the opportunity to lead complex specialty construction projects across Atlantic Canada including:
Selective and structural demolition
Hazardous materials abatement (asbestos lead mould and other hazardous materials)
Environmental remediation
Heavy concrete cutting coring and removal
Emergency response and environmental restoration projects
Every project is different providing opportunities to solve unique challenges work with specialized equipment and lead skilled crews on some of the regions most demanding projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily field operations from mobilization through project completion.
Supervise field crews operators labourers and subcontractors.
Coordinate daily work plans with the Project Manager.
Plan labour equipment materials and site logistics.
Monitor productivity project progress quality and safety performance.
Lead daily toolbox talks field hazard assessments and site inspections.
Ensure compliance with Brancos Health & Safety Program client requirements and all applicable regulations.
Ensure proper containment waste handling transportation and disposal procedures are followed.
Read and interpret construction drawings specifications and project schedules.
Complete daily reports timesheets equipment logs and project documentation.
Identify field issues develop practical solutions and communicate progress with the Project Manager.
Build strong working relationships with clients consultants inspectors and subcontractors.
Coach mentor and develop field employees while promoting Brancos culture and values.
Requirements
What Were Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience in demolition hazardous material abatement environmental concrete cutting industrial or heavy construction.
Experience leading field crews.
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel throughout Atlantic Canada.
