Site Security Coordinator
Job Summary
- 5 years in a Security role preferably in construction defense or federal contracting
- Strong knowledge of Canadian federal security protocols including CSP CGP International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Information Security Policy (ISP) and Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSE) cybersecurity programs
- Proven leadership in managing security for infrastructure or civil construction projects
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders including Legal HR IT and Operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong documentation and audit readiness.
- Knowledge of electronic security systems (CCTV access control alarms).
- Proficiency in incident management and crisis management protocols.
- Ability to read and apply complex corporate policies.
- Excellent judgment in emergency situations.
- Clear communication and diplomacy when interacting with multiple stakeholders.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in physical security site management or a similar role.
- Experience working with a security provider or in a corporate/industrial environment.
- Bilingual in French and English an asset (spoken and written).
- Must be able to work onsite in Ottawa.
- Valid Government of Canada security clearance or eligibility to obtain one in accordance with project security requirements.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- COMSEC - COM102C - COMSEC Account Management/COM103C - COMSEC Account Management for private sector companies
- Emergency Preparedness or Security Training
- Strong leadership and coordination abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to incidents.
- Proficiency with security technologies and Microsoft Office applications.
