Location: Markham ON
Position Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule
  • Approximately 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Saturday (5 working days per week)
  • Sundays off
  • Must be available to work Saturdays
  • Typical showroom hours: 8:00 AM 5:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Showroom Sales Consultant to join our Lighting Division. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the lighting electrical home décor interior design construction or related industries and possess a passion for helping customers select lighting solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional showroom environment while building long-term relationships with homeowners contractors designers builders and electricians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist customers visiting the showroom while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Guide customers through the selection of residential and commercial lighting products.
  • Recommend lighting solutions based on customer needs project requirements budgets and design preferences.
  • Prepare quotations process sales orders and follow up on customer inquiries and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with homeowners builders contractors electricians and interior designers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone email and in-person consultations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of lighting products industry trends specifications and applications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability lead times and special orders.
  • Assist with merchandising showroom presentation and maintenance of product displays.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Contribute to achieving showroom sales targets and overall business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within the lighting electrical construction home décor interior design or related industry is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales and customer service experience.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable using computers email Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical product information.
  • Experience working with builders contractors designers or electrical suppliers is considered an asset.
