Job Summary

Position SummaryWe are currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Shipper/ Delivery Dispatcher. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated and customer-focused individual who will ensure the highest standards of safety service and efficiency. This role ensures customers and employees are provided with the best possible experience daily. Together with other team members the Shipper/ Dispatcher works to exceed customer expectations. The shifts are Monday - Friday and the wage range is $26.50 - $33.75 per hour (Tier 1: $26.50 - $30 Tier 2; $30 - $33.75).Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and track deliveries of building supplies to both residential and commercial job of Microsoft based computer system to complete daily job specific and coordinate deliveries for a dynamic commercial fleet of Overhead Cranes Knuckle Cranes Truck Mounted Forklifts Flat Decks and Cube and assign work to a diverse delivery team of Crane Operators Drivers and Delivery and mange all delivery types including; roof top deliveries drywall and insulation deliveries and packs into job sites crane deliveries flat deck roll off deliveries and forklift respectfully both verbal and written directly with the Slegg sales team and customers to coordinate and plan and coordinate deliveries and product transfers with other Slegg of the most efficient delivery methods and truck and employee safety requirements and planning of deliveries within and ensure compliance of all provincial and company safety regulations and and report on required metrics and issues and successes to superiors in a timely with loading and unloading trucks in the warehouse when with deliveries at job sites when as an ambassador of the company with all employees and duties as RequirementsSecondary education in business commerce supply chain management management or equivalent experience and on the job training considered an written and oral communication experience in building materials supply industry forklift certification and experience are to problem solve prioritize and manage multiple a solutions provider for customers and computer to work under pressure and comfortable with tight deadlines and customer to adapt to last minute RequirementsSitting for long periods of to lift and carry up to up and down and standing with Health benefits - including drug coverage practitioner dental vision disability and life savings (pension or other) are - Company discounts (mobile phone etc.) training programs and opportunities for career advancement group events and you feel we are a good fit for your career goals and skillset we invite you to apply and look forward to reviewing your part of the GMS Inc. family of companies you can launch your career with a North American building materials distributor and discover opportunities for growth and value our team members and believe them to be our greatest assets.
