Service Technician

We are looking to add a Service Technician to our Calgary team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on self-motivated professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is committed to delivering excellent customer include:Perform field start-ups troubleshooting and commissioning of mechanical/HVAC equipment Carry out mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance within the assigned territory Dismantle repair and reassemble mechanical equipment Conduct energy audits and identify optimization opportunities Work independently while managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Read and interpret mechanical drawings control schematics and electrical diagrams Assess site conditions identify issues coordinate materials and support installation and repair work Communicate effectively with contractors customers electricians and other trades Maintain assigned inventory and company equipment Complete all required documentation (time sheets service reports job progress) Provide training and follow-up support at customer sites Stay up to date on products systems and industry developments Work with third-party equipment and controls including BACnet Modbus and other building automation systemsRequirements:Diploma (or equivalent) from a technical program or 12 years of relevant experience in controls/building automation systems (or equivalent combination) Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and fundamentals Experience with start-up and commissioning of HVAC equipment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Comfortable working at heights and using ladders Willingness to travel as required Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Valid drivers license (minimum 12 months) with a clean driving record This role involves working in a variety of environments including mechanical rooms with operating equipment exposure to noise outdoor weather conditions and occasional work in elevated or confined spaces. There is also potential exposure to high-voltage is a physically demanding position requiring regular use of hands and mobility (walking bending kneeling).
