Server, Flower & Wolf (Part-time)

We invite you to join the world of hospitality at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire as our new Server. The Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing professional attentive and knowledgeable food and beverage service. This role is responsible for ensuring guests receive efficient personalized service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Dining Experience

• Consistently provide professional friendly and engaging service to all guests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver items promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items including ingredients and preparation methods to assist with menu selections and dietary requirements.
• Anticipate guest needs personalize service and create a welcoming dining environment.
• Handle guest concerns or feedback in a calm courteous and professional manner.

Food & Beverage Service

• Ensure proper sequence of service is followed in accordance with hotel standards.
• Serve food and beverages with attention to detail presentation and timing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables service stations and dining areas.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Operational Excellence

• Accurately maintain guest checks/folios using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensure proper cash handling and completion of tip-outs to supporting team members.
• Identify opportunities to upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience.
• Complete opening closing and side duties efficiently and according to standards.
• Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked service environment.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Food & Beverage colleagues and supervisors to support smooth daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Contribute to a positive and professional team environment.
• Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol in accordance with provincial regulations.
• Adhere to all hotel policies procedures and service standards.

Qualifications :

What will you bring to this role

• Minimum two years of serving experience in a comparable restaurant or hospitality environment
• Valid ProServe certification required
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings including wine wine pairings cocktails spirits and liquors
• Previous point-of-sale (POS) system experience is an asset
• Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to multitask take initiative and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Highly responsible reliable and detail-oriented
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts including breakfast lunch and dinner

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Frequent lifting and carrying of trays plates and service items
• Ability to maneuver safely and efficiently throughout the restaurant and hotel while carrying multiple items
• Physical stamina and dexterity required to maintain service standards during peak periods
