FortisAlberta is seeking an experienced and solutionsfocused Senior Systems Specialist SAP IS-U Billing to support and enhance critical business systems that power our operations!

In this handson technical role you will develop maintain and optimize SAP solutions while partnering closely with business and technology teams to deliver reliable scalable and efficient applications. From troubleshooting complex issues to supporting strategic projects and system enhancements you will play a key role in ensuring our SAP environment continues to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Job Description:

• Design develop enhance and support SAP IS-U applications and integrations that support key business processes.
• Analyze business requirements evaluate solution options and implement technical solutions that align with operational and strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain application interfaces technical configurations and custom SAP functionality.
• Support daytoday application operations including troubleshooting issue resolution and breakfix activities.
• Participate in project initiatives by providing technical expertise solution design recommendations and development support.
• Create technical specifications estimate development effort and manage assigned work to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve system stability functionality and user experience.
• Manage incidents problems and changes while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting within support systems.
• Research emerging technologies tools and SAP capabilities to support continuous improvement and innovation.
• Provide technical leadership on small initiatives and collaborate with business stakeholders and Information Technology teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Provide excellent customer service to other business teams and make decisions with the customer in mind. Uphold customer service excellence values through exceptional delivery proactive communication and effective planning of technical changes.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline plus a minimum of 10 years of experience doing Systems Analysis and Design (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).

• Minimum 6 years experience required completing development or functional configuration in the SAP IS-U module. Working experiences in SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing Device Management Intercompany Data Exchange and/or Energy Data Management modules will be considered.

• Strong experience developing enhancing and supporting SAP applications including systems analysis solution design integration testing and production support.
• Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues evaluate solution options and deliver practical business-focused recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SAP ERP environments including SAP ERP 6.0; experience with the Utility Industry Specific module (IS-U) Web Dynpro SAP Portal or SAP Workflow is considered an asset.
• Experience working in a regulated environment preferably within the electrical utility industry is considered an asset.

Important:

• Permanent full-time role.
• Monday Friday schedule.
• Based out of our Calgary office location.
• This position will be required to participate in an on-call technical support rotation.
• This is a unionized role and the successful applicant will be required to become a union member on hire if they are not one already.
• Some light travel would be required for the role (5%).
