Senior Systems Administrator Law Firm

They are currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join their technology team.
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliability security and performance of the organizations IT infrastructure and cloud environment. This role serves as the operational lead for the IT team coordinating day-to-day priorities while ensuring systems remain secure stable and aligned with business needs.
The position acts as the final escalation point for complex infrastructure and systems issues and works closely with senior leadership on cybersecurity vendor management and technology planning initiatives.
- Maintain and support core infrastructure including servers networks cloud services and enterprise systems
- Ensure system availability performance and reliability across multiple office locations
- Oversee patching system maintenance backups and disaster recovery activities
- Support and enforce security controls policies and best practices
- Monitor infrastructure security posture and coordinate remediation activities
- Assist with security audits compliance requirements and ongoing risk management initiatives
- Coordinate day-to-day and weekly priorities for the IT team
- Manage workload distribution coverage and escalation procedures
- Serve as the operational point of contact when senior technology leadership is unavailable
- Act as the final escalation point for complex technical and infrastructure issues
- Provide guidance and support to team members on troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Participate in critical incident response and after-hours support when required
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support infrastructure and systems
- Participate in evaluating and implementing new technologies
- Monitor system performance capacity planning and future technology requirements
- 710 years of experience in systems administration infrastructure or a related role
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft environments including:
- Windows Server
- Microsoft 365
- Entra ID
- Experience with networking virtualization storage and backup solutions
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and controls
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues
- Strong organizational prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a professional services organization is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Able to balance hands-on technical work with team coordination responsibilities
- Clear communicator with a practical solutions-oriented approach
- Reliable adaptable and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment

- Salary range: $95000 $115000
