Senior Staff Engineer, Product Software

Who are we

Job Summary

Responsible for architecture design deployment and troubleshooting of different software solutions. Interacts with the business and product teams to influence requirements. Responsible for integration with all business systems and applications. Works closely with the architecture and networking teams to influence the design validation and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Youll design build and own the tooling that powers Equinixs API ecosystem. This includes API governance and specifications SDK/IaC/documentation generation and developer platform workflowsrunning on Terraform Kubernetes and CI/CD

• Youll lead technically across teams improve developer experience and raise reliability through automation (including AIassisted checks)

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Go or Python or JavaScript

• Senior Stafflevel experience building and operating production systems or internal developer platforms

• Deep experience with API lifecycle management and governance (OpenAPI OAuth2/OIDC versioning compatibility)

• Handson experience with Terraform (providers and modules) Kubernetes and Linuxbased CI/CD

• Familiarity with gateways/edge technologies (e.g. Apigee ALB Ingress Envoy) and identity/authorization patterns

• An automationfirst mindset and comfort owning systems endtoend while leading through influence

Nice to have

• Experience with SDK generation for multilanguage clients and compatibility testing

• Experience with developer and documentation platforms (e.g. Docusaurus Backstage Confluence) including plugins and build integrations

• Experience with MCP and safe agentic/AI workflows for developer tooling

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 131000 - 181000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role level and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus equity or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus and equity may be offered depending on the position.
