Role Summary
The SAP BODS Developer supports Clients data integration and analytics landscape by designing developing and maintaining ETL solutions that move data from SAP and non-SAP systems into enterprise data warehouses and reporting platforms. The role focuses on data accuracy performance regulatory compliance and operational reliability within a utility environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain SAP BODS ETL jobs to extract transform and load data from: o SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA (IS-U FI CO PM) o Metering billing customer information systems (CIS) o Legacy and third-party applications
Build and manage: o Dataflows workflows scripts and transforms o Error-handling logging and recovery mechanisms
Optimize BODS jobs for performance scalability and reliability in batch and nearreal-time processing
Implement data validation reconciliation and quality checks to meet regulatory and audit requirements
Support data integration for: o Gas distribution operations o Regulatory reporting (Ontario Energy Board / compliance reporting) o Finance asset management and customer analytics
Collaborate with: o Business analysts and data architects o SAP functional teams o Reporting and BI teams (BW Power BI SAP BO)
Participate in: o SDLC activities (design development testing deployment) o Production support incident resolution and performance tuning
Maintain technical documentation job schedules mappings and run books
Technical Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS)
Solid understanding of: o ETL architecture and data warehousing concepts o SAP source systems (ECC / S4HANA IS-U preferred)
Proficiency in: o SQL (Oracle SQL Server HANA) o Data profiling cleansing and transformations
Experience with: o Control-M Autosys or equivalent job schedulers o Unix/Linux environments o Version control and migration practices
Familiarity with utility-industry data such as: o Meter reads & consumption data o Billing and revenue o Asset and pipeline information (preferred)
