We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the this role you will lead and support complex placement activity by applying deep risk and insurance market expertise to develop placement solutions that meet sophisticated client needs. You will partner closely with client teams and carriers/underwriters to drive innovative placement outcomes provide market insight and help deliver cohesive high-quality client service.
We will count on you to:
Develop and execute placement strategies by leveraging risk expertise industry knowledge and strong carrier/underwriter relationships to address complex client needs.
Provide input to go-to-market strategies and service pricing considerations to support client retention and new business production.
Guide and strengthen carrier and underwriter engagement to drive innovative approaches and deliver cohesive client service.
Audit and finalize commission structures with underwriters in alignment with client direction and agreement.
Monitor evolving insurance and risk market conditions and proactively inform client teams clients and carriers of major developments impacting coverage.
Lead complex placement/technical support activities on large accounts (e.g. procedural compliance reviewing data updating renewal exhibits and maintaining accurate placement system entries) to support contract execution.
Strong time management skills are a necessity ability to handle multiple accounts and placements across all industries and coverage types
Provide coverage and policy documentation to the clients in a timely manner
Address subjectivities with the markets
Engage across Advisory and Claims when necessary
What you need to have:
Experience leading or supporting complex insurance placement work and advising on coverage considerations in a dynamic market.
Strong working knowledge of carrier/underwriter engagement and the ability to build effective relationships.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical/placement support activities on large accounts while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult on complex issues and influence solutions that improve client service.
Proven expertise in insurance and risk markets including an understanding of market dynamics that impact coverage and placement decisions.
Ability to work cross-functionally with client teams and internal stakeholders to develop and execute placement solutions for complex client needs.
Strong analytical and organizational skills to support data review renewal exhibit updates and accurate placement system maintenance.
