Senior Payroll Associate

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Payroll Associate on a permanent basis within our People & Culture team. This position is a hybrid opportunity so the successful candidate must be local to Saskatoon Saskatchewan.

What youll do:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for local Co-op clients ensuring accurate remittances and adherence to deadlines.

• Provide timely customer support to address client inquiries related to pay.

• Assist with year-end duties including preparing T4s vacation payouts and related reports.

• Review payroll correspondence and update employee files including special payments like bonuses and severance.

• Manage Workers Compensation reports third-party error notifications and maintain security of payroll records.

• Other duties as required.

You will work closely with the Payroll Services team and will report into the Supervisor Payroll Services. This team strives to cultivate a culture of support collaboration and community.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Payroll and:

• Have 4 progressive financial accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution and 1 year of related accounting or payroll experience. OR

• Have 8 progressive financial accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution and 2.5 years of related accounting or payroll experience.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable functional area.
