Senior Mechanical Engineer, Bulk Material Handling

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with approximately 15 years of experience in the design and delivery of bulk material handling facilities and infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and project management for multidisciplinary projects involving conveyors transfer systems crushing and screening plants storage and reclaim systems shiploaders railcar unloading facilities and dust control systems across the mining ports and terminals industrial and infrastructure sectors. The role combines engineering excellence client engagement and project leadership. This position aligns with expertise demonstrated in major bulk material handling and terminal projects documented internally

• Lead the design and execution of bulk material handling and mechanical systems projects.

• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams through study design procurement construction and commissioning phases.

• Act as project manager for medium- to large-scale industrial projects managing scope schedule budget quality and risk.

• Prepare technical reports specifications equipment evaluations and engineering deliverables.

• Detailed engineering of conveyors transfer chutes crushers feeders reclaim systems shiploaders railcar unloaders and dust collection systems.

• Support business development activities proposal preparation and client relationship management.

• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and contribute to technical excellence initiatives.

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Professional Engineer (.) designation in Canada.

• Approximately 15 years of relevant engineering experience.

• Demonstrated expertise in bulk material handling systems and equipment.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams.

• Experience with mining port and terminal industrial or processing facilities.

• U.S. PE registration or eligibility is considered an asset

• Belt conveyors and overland conveying systems

• DEM and CFD simulations

• Transfer chutes and bulk material flow

• Crushers feeders bins hoppers and storage systems

• Shiploaders stackers reclaimers and railcar unloading systems

• Dust suppression and dust collection systems

• Equipment selection specification and procurement

• Construction support and commissioning
