As a Senior Manager of Engineering you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction on end-to end technology design and implementation. Interacting with business and technology leaders across the Bank the successful candidate will establish a dynamic strategy focused on utilizing tools and capabilities in innovative ways that are aligned to our enterprise architecture. The role requires a deep understanding of the technology a passion for innovation inspired leadership and drive for results experience in large program technology delivery and superior organization & communication skills.

• Manage the team that architects developsoperates and supportsthe bankstechnology solutions

• Establish andmaintaina sustainable and operational resilient team to support the execution ofan ambitiousroadmap focusing onclient centricvalue delivery on-time on-budget with high qualityand extensibility.

• With many years of technology experience lead coach and continuously advance the capabilities of the technology team ensuring we areidentifyingand building future technology skills & capabilities

• Champion the use of diverse technology industry bestpracticesand data analytics to continuously advance business capabilities

• Champion the thoughtful use of AI driven development tools enabling development acceleration while ensuring judgement and problem solvingremain with the people.

• Clearly communicate and garner support for the technology vision & strategy to business and technology leaders

• Establish andmaintaineffective relationships with vendors through proactive management and governance practices.

• Provide technicalexpertise guidanceadviceand knowledge transfer to team members on all aspects of application development for assigned applications or technology.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 5 years of experience leading a software engineering team working with others to solve problems sharing knowledgegrowand mentor developers

• 5 years of experience producingsecure internet / client facingenterprise solutions in a professional development environment

• 5 years of hands-on experience insecuresoftware solution design & development usingJava AngularKotland and Swift with mobileand public cloud technologies

• 5 years of hands-on experience operationalizinghighly availablesoftware solutions

• 3 years of experience leading agile development teams and providing leadership in ceremonies such as backlog grooming and sprint planning

• Excel at designing and operationalizing software engineering processes to deliver high quality code

• Excellent understanding of HTTP protocol and REST-style API design patterns

• Good understanding in Cybersecurity in context of securing public Internet facing applications

• Strong workingunderstanding of public cloud technologies ( Azure AWS)

• Good understanding of micro-services architectural pattern in context of business operating model

• Good understandingand avid proponentof DevOpspractices

• Ability to work independently as well as in highly collaborative team environments

• Ability to do bothlong termthinking andshort termplanning

• Ability to balance logical problem solving with innovative thinking

• Ability to contribute positively to team culture with a focus on inclusion and diversity

• Ability to resolve conflicts and escalations

• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Bachelor or higher degree
