UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN in data-driven decisions data literacy performance improvement data governance data infrastructure/tools advanced analytics and automation.
The Senior Manager Clinical Programs Process & Performance Improvement (CPPPI) role plays a dual leadership role in UHN Data & Analytics. The position serves as a dedicated Data & Analytics partner to clinical programs helping leaders translate insight into action and achieve measurable performance outcomes. Simultaneously the role advances UHNs enterprise improvement capability by building the methods systems skills and culture required to sustain continuous improvement across the organization.
Duties
- Serve as the senior Data & Analytics partner for assigned clinical programs building trusted relationships with clinical operational and administrative leaders to advance strategic and operational priorities.
- Translate clinical and operational priorities into integrated analytics and improvement initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in quality patient outcomes experience access efficiency and resource stewardship.
- Lead strategic performance improvement initiatives that address complex organizational challenges and support achievement of clinical program objectives.
- Facilitate data-informed decision making through performance reviews operational assessments strategic planning activities and action-oriented discussions that convert insight into results.
- Build organizational capability in continuous improvement performance management and structured problem solving through coaching consultation and practical application.
- Design implement and sustain improvement systems standards methodologies and routines that enable scalable and sustainable performance improvement across the organization.
- Develop and deliver enterprise education training and mentorship programs that strengthen organizational capability in analytics improvement science and change leadership.
- Establish performance measurement and value realization frameworks that evaluate the impact sustainability and benefits of improvement initiatives.
- Lead develop and inspire a high-performing team of performance improvement and analytics professionals providing coaching mentorship performance management succession planning and opportunities for professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability collaboration innovation continuous learning and excellence while building communities of practice and strengthening improvement capability across UHN.
Qualifications :
- A Masters degree in Health/Hospital Administration Business Administration or related field preferred.
- At minimum ten (10) years of practical experience in hospital/healthcare management/leadership roles with a proven understanding of data analysis principles data interpretation data visualization and quality improvement
- Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent Quality Improvement Methodology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Extensive stakeholder/relationship and change management knowledge and expertise.
- Ability to effectively communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders promoting data literacy throughout the organization.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical ability with attention to detail capable of visualizing complex organizational data to derive insights.
- Capacity to identify and address complex issues in healthcare delivery and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
- Highly inquisitive and can stay on top of the latest trends and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in managing a high performing and diverse team
- Additional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) Program Management Professional (PgMP) Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) considered an asset.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Epic and data visualization applications considered an asset.
