Overview
The Government of Albertas Technology and Innovation division is seeking experienced Full Stack Application Developers to support the Economic Intelligence & Investment Services branch. The team is responsible for maintaining enhancing and modernizing several public-facing investment and economic intelligence platforms that help businesses and investors discover opportunities across Alberta.
The successful candidate will work on enterprise web applications including economic dashboards investment data platforms site selection tools regional dashboards major projects databases and export intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop enhance and support enterprise web applications.
Develop frontend website architecture and backend application components.
Maintain and modernize legacy applications across multiple technology platforms.
Build and support data pipelines ETL processes and data-driven applications.
Develop modify integrate and test web applications and APIs.
Perform application performance analysis and optimization.
Participate in architecture design code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
Execute unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and defects.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Coordinate software releases and deployment activities.
Support transition to operations and warranty activities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders designers and technical teams.

6 years of experience developing data-driven applications using Umbraco CMS.
6 years of experience working with socio-economic or analytical datasets.
4 years of experience designing and developing data pipelines and applications using SQL.
4 years of experience analyzing and resolving application website and API performance issues.
4 years of experience supporting Microsoft AzureAzure SQLAzure Data Factory and Databricks.
