Senior Database Administrator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing RDBMS and NoSQL solutions optimizing performance implementing replication and high availability and providing support to development teams. Troubleshooting and problem-solving will be a key part of your role.

Responsibilities

• Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Ensure database performance scalability high availability and disaster recovery across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines
• Implement and manage replication сhains partitioning / sharding backups
• Assist development teams in creating optimizing and problem solving with RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Troubleshooting
• Drive automation using Terraform Puppet and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management

Qualifications :

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science Technology or a related field of study
• Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
• Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL DML DCL)
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• Proficiency in Linux
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher

A plus if:

• Experience in scripting automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform Puppet Bash/Python)
• Team management experience
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog Prometheus Grafana or Zabbix
