This position is designed for a strategic analytics professional with over 10 years of experience transforming complex data into executive-level clarity mentoring junior talent and bridging the gap between technical engineering squads and the C-suite. This is a high-impact role where you will have a seat at the table helping our client architect how their entire organization perceives performance handles data governance and mitigates risk.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Data Strategy: Architect enterprise-grade semantic layers and analytical frameworks that scale with organization growth.
Executive Liaison: Translate complex statistical outcomes into clear high-impact strategic roadmaps for leadership.
Champion Governance: Define and enforce protocols for data quality lineage and master data management across the ecosystem.
Team Mentorship: Foster a culture of excellence by providing technical mentorship and code reviews for intermediate and junior analysts.
Process Optimization: Shift operational focus from baseline data maintenance to proactive predictive intelligence and automated workflows.
Mandatory Qualifications
10 years of progressive experience in advanced analytics business intelligence architecture or decision science roles.
Programming Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Python or R for data modeling statistical analysis and sophisticated automation workflows.
Governance Credentials: An active professional certification in Data Governance (such as CDMP or DAMA).
Industry Domain Expertise: A proven track record navigating complex analytical frameworks within highly regulated environments (FinTech Banking Insurance or Consulting).
Technical Depth: Mastery of enterprise SQL dimensional modeling (star schemas) and modern BI visualization design (Power BI preferred).
Cloud & Big Data Literacy: Hands-on experience with modern data stacks and cloud environments (such as Azure Databricks or Snowflake).
Location: Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and able to accommodate a hybrid work model with a mandatory office presence.
