About the Opportunity

Our Cleint is expanding its enterprise cyber security program to strengthen security operations cloud protection incident response and risk management capabilities across the public sector ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a senior cyber security professional with strong experience in cloud security security operations incident response cyber risk management and enterprise security architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Support and mature enterprise cyber security programs and initiatives
Design and implement secure cloud architectures primarily within Azure environments
Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities including monitoring detection investigation and response
Lead and coordinate incident response activities across the incident lifecycle
Conduct cyber risk assessments vulnerability assessments and remediation planning
Develop and maintain security policies standards procedures and governance frameworks
Define and report on cyber security KPIs metrics and compliance status
Support security architecture reviews for enterprise systems and IT projects
Collaborate with stakeholders vendors technical teams and leadership on security initiatives
Support security awareness and training programs across the organization
Participate in after hours support during critical security events or operational priorities

Required Experience

7 years of hands on cyber security experience
Strong experience with Security Operations Incident Response Threat Intelligence and Security Architecture
Experience securing cloud environments such as Azure using cloud native security controls
Strong understanding of cyber risk management and threat risk assessments
Experience with vulnerability management and remediation tracking
Experience supporting SOC operations and security monitoring
Experience managing cyber security vendors and third party service providers
Strong project delivery and stakeholder management experience
Strong business analysis and documentation skills
Experience working with frameworks such as:

NIST 800-53
ISO 27001
CIS Controls
MITRE ATT&CK
Cyber Kill Chain

Strong communication and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Cyber Security Computer Science IT or related field
Certifications such as CISSP CCSP SSCP Security or GIAC are highly preferred
