Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Core Java Engineer to design develop and support high-performance scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java distributed systems backend engineering and software design principles.

Key Responsibilities:
Design develop test and maintain robust scalable and highly available Java-based applications.
Develop backend services APIs and microservices to support business-critical applications.
Participate in system architecture technical design and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Optimize application performance scalability reliability and security.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Collaborate with product owners business stakeholders architects and development teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
Contribute to Agile development processes including sprint planning estimation and retrospectives.
Advocate and implement software engineering best practices coding standards and development frameworks.
Mentor and guide junior developers fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
7 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java.
Strong expertise in Core Java object-oriented programming multithreading collections concurrency and JVM internals.
Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of software design patterns data structures and algorithms.
Experience building RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Experience with version control tools such as Git.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
Strong debugging troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Spring Boot Spring Framework and microservices architecture.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka RabbitMQ or JMS.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Cassandra or DynamoDB.
Experience working in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 80000 - 90000.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national state provincial and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini in good faith believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives bonuses or commissions depending on the position and applicable laws.
