Job Description:

Position Purpose:

This role exists to provide expert compensation guidance that supports a positive and equitable employee experience aligned with Human Relations goals of trust meaningful work and strong results. As a senior specialist it contributes to complex compensation initiativessuch as union negotiations pay equity and regulatory complianceensuring fair and consistent practices across Canada and Bermuda. By applying compensation expertise and influencing outcomes and strategic decisions the role helps the organization maintain compliance attract and retain talent and foster a motivated high-performing workforce.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leads complex compensation program reviews to ensure equitable pay structures competitive positioning and alignment with organizational standards.

  • Ensures compliance with employment legislation minimum wage requirements and governance frameworks to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory integrity.

  • Partners with HR Centres of Expertise and stakeholders to evaluate job structures enhance Workday functionality and optimize compensation processes.

  • Supports labour relations initiatives by analyzing union compensation plans and providing insights on market trends and cost impacts.

  • Delivers data-driven recommendations that inform strategic decisions change initiatives and compensation-related investments.

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to enhance program effectiveness and ensure alignment with collective agreements and organizational goals.

  • Resolves complex compensation issues by collaborating across HR Finance and business partners while balancing policy equity and business needs.

  • Contributes to compensation strategy projects and continuous improvement efforts strengthening overall program performance and workforce outcomes.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant field

  • CCP designation preferred

  • 57 years of compensation experience with strong analytical expertise

  • Advanced skills in data analysis research and reporting.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $85321.60 to $106641.60 with a maximum of $127982.40.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
