TheSrAV TechniciansupportstheAV servicedeliveryforan inspiring arrayoflivein-personvirtual hybrid corporate meetings and eventsat Sun guides and influences business partners on the technical service selection for eventsbothvirtual platforms andinour internal conference centres andensurestheservices are delivered at a high-quality standardandprofessional is primarily responsible fordelivering audio-visualservices required foron-site meetings andeventsas well asvirtual events for Sun Life Financial business groups and senior leadership equipment includesall audio equipment (digital mixers wireless mics) video (projectors switchers video conferencing units cameras various sources) lighting (studio lighting theatrical lighting) as well as event services include streamed live and recorded events on a wide range of platforms as well as Hybrid events with simultaneous live and in person components.

The Sr. AV Technician is responsible for the operation maintenance and support of a wide range of AV technologies including audio video conferencing lighting streaming and production systems. The role also supports system maintenance equipment readiness vendor coordination documentation and technician training to ensure consistent service excellence.

Thisin-person role is based at ourToronto One York location and provides occasional supportat our Toronto Atria location as well asnon-location specificvirtual event to the Manager AV ServicesTheTechnicianworks closely withmembers of thetechnician teamas well as the ProducingMultimedia and Operations teams in the delivery of ouroverall department initiatives.

What will you do

• Hands-on planningwith our business partners to recommend appropriate virtual platforms audio-visual and staging solutions and therehearsal and eventdeliveryofthese plannedservicesto ensure the seamless execution of the event.

• Technical operationof keyvirtual event platformsbroadcast and video equipment and integrationsmulti-channel systemsandvideo editing capabilities as well as the ability to learn new equipment systems and platforms.

• Demonstrate flexible solution focusedcustomer serviceskillstoquicklyadaptresolve and trouble-shoot technical problemsor late-breaking customer needs.

• Contributetosystemsand complete tasksforevent reportingequipment and inventory resourcingto department standards.

• Adhereto company policies and industry best practices for thetechnicalprocesses pre during and post-events

• Commitment to continuous improvement with the aim of making processes as efficient as possible while delivering quality results

What you need to succeed

• You have5years oftechnicalexpertisein acorporateevent environmentproducing experiences for online and in-person corporate audiences.

• Youre awell-accomplished eventtechnicianwith honed skillsandtrackrecord oftroubleshooting under pressure knowledgeable with awide range ofmediaplatformsand venues regularly working in closecollaborationwitheventplanningandmultimediateams.

• Youve got experienceleading partners suppliers andteamstodeliver high quality work.

• You regularly show initiative as a self-starteryoureconfident in your abilities and have an excellent track record in fast paced deadline driven high-volume and live production environments.

• You have an exceptional attention to detail

• You have a passion forcorporate eventexperiences with your finger on the pulse of the latest trends and techniques.

• You have knowledge of industry-related equipment systems and terminology andprofessionalabilities. This may include knowledge of AV andbroadcast systems such as video conference hardware & software endpoints hardware & software video switchers (Blackmagic ATEMs Vmix)Virtual Event PlatformsMS Teams and Zoomas well as expertise in the MS Office Suite Adobe creative Suite. Demonstratable intuitiveness and ability to adapt and learn a wide range of production systems equipment platforms and integrations as technology evolves.

Preferred skills:

• Industry certifications are an asset

• Involvement in industry-related associations

• Hands-on experience with virtual event platforms (MS Teams Zoom Cisco Webex etc.)

• Live audio engineering and sound mixing expertise

• Knowledge of virtual production and hybrid event delivery

• Experience with LED wall systems or advanced staging technologies

• Post-production editing capabilities (Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro DaVinci Resolve)

• Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge base resources

• Familiarity with emerging technologies in the events industry
