Steps away from the main public transit station What we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes base salary bonus benefits and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employmentThe OpportunityThe Senior Renewals & Assumption Analyst is responsible for managing Commercial Mortgage Renewals Assumptions and Investor Sales in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role will have ownership of the full assumption process from intake through completion including reviewing borrower structure changes determining applicable requirements coordinating required documentation and working with AML to obtain the necessary approvals. The Senior Renewals & Assumption Analyst will also support general renewals team reporting requirements and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transactions are completed accurately and within required timelines. How you will contribute: Ensure maturing loans up for renewals assumptions and investor sales are processed in a timely manner in line with company policies and a complete review of renewal and assumption commitment with solicitors insurance consultants investors originators and all parties associated with each transaction to ensure all First National requirements are satisfied and our files are updated for accurately processing all loan details onto mortgage system from various source documents in compliance with policies & for assisting with training of new staff within the renewals team;Responsible for the daily review and approval of Renewal Assumption and Investor sales transactions processed by other members within the team. Responsible for reviewing borrower structure changes and determining the applicable requirements documentation and approval conditions based on the complexity of the borrower structural changes ranging from simple amendments to complex multi-loan and portfolio comprehensive AML and KYC of legal documents for Assumptions to ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and investor guidelinesReview cheque requisitions adjustment deposits globals investors capital call etc. and recommend requests to Managementr for approval Provide back up in the absence of other analysts within the special projects as assigned by experience you need: Post secondary education 4 or more years experience in the mortgage/financial industryExperience working with the Optimus system a definite assetProficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically Word and ExcelGood understanding of mortgage security documentationPrior experience processing mortgage assumptions renewals and/or new loan transactions an assetGood Understanding of the AML and Down Payment Verification requirements an assetExtremely organized and detail orientedWorking Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:Office environmentPeriods of high volume with tight timelinesLong periods of stationary position/sittingProlonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)Long periods of time in viewing a computer screenMulti-tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer join First NationalCompetitive Compensation Comprehensive benefits program (i.e. Health Spending Account Maternity and Parental Leave Top Up)Extensive training programs to set our employees up for success Modern office environment conducive to collaborationSupportive teamwork culture Opportunities to give back to the communities and work through events focused on a variety of charities Ongoing social events throughout the year The team youll join: Founded in 1988 First National is one of Canadas largest non-bank lenders.
