Our Commercial Management team within CPG Rapid Transit is looking for a Senior Advisor Commercial Management to join the team! You will provide oversight and strategic advice of commercial management and decision-making support including coordination across the program.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies methodologies tools and techniques for commercial management excellence and continuous improvement.
Develop presentations memos and reports based on analytical findings to support planning strategic initiatives and decision-making by Commercial Management leadership.
Provide guidance and interpretation of contractual submissions to Commercial Management and Project Delivery Leads with regards to contractual adherence legislative adherence while ensuring alignment with Metrolinxs policies.
Interpret and clarify contractual terms and conditions in collaboration with Legal Services which appear unclear or contradictory to the vendor and/or Metrolinx.
Provide advice and consultation to Commercial Management team and officials on governance issues aligned with internal policy requirements.
Analyze project program or portfolio-related processes and procedures and develop and implements streamlined solutions for identified inefficiencies or inconsistencies.
Develop and implement strategies tools and techniques for commercial management excellence and continuous improvement and recommends commercial strategies consistent with overall strategic goals of the division and enterprise.
Prepare research and challenge / review information prior to dissemination to ensure quality control consistency and flow of information.
Completion of a degree in Business Law Applied Science Engineering or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
Demonstrated experience supporting the development and administration of contracts managing timely flow of information along with stakeholder interaction interface risks developing terms and conditions quotations negotiations procurement acquisitions and dispute resolutions.
Strong critical thinking skills and aptitude for governance and process including analyzing and developing commercial templates processes and strategies is an asset.
Proactive / self-starter with strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
Project management to plan organize and coordinate internal and external resources engaged in project activities to meet timelines budget limitations and adhere to quality control standards and best practices.
Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office (e.g. Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) Contract Management Software (Unifier) and Visio
Strong influencing/negotiating as well as political acumen capabilities to deal with a variety of stakeholders agencies and staff to ensure successful outcomes and achieve goals.
Analytical skills to analyze business needs and identify and assess project risks and impacts on company reputation and develop recommendations for corrective action.
Interpersonal and strong oral/written/presentation communication skills to develop reports and presentations based on analytical findings.
