Carlson Construction Group is seeking an experienced and driven Scheduler / Planner to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional who thrives on turning complex construction activities into clear executable project plans that drive successful project outcomes.
As part of one of Western Canadas leading construction groups you will work alongside talented project teams on industrial marine civil and infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are planned effectively monitored accurately and delivered successfully.

What Youll Do
As a Scheduler / Planner you will be a key member of the project team providing planning scheduling and project controls expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Create and manage project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Break project scope into logical work packages activities durations and dependencies.
- Establish baseline schedules and monitor progress against planned milestones.
- Analyze schedule performance and report project status to stakeholders.
- Identify critical path activities risks constraints and opportunities.
- Recommend mitigation measures corrective actions and recovery plans when required.
- Collaborate with Project Managers Superintendents Estimators and Project Coordinators to ensure schedules align with project execution strategies.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules progress reports schedule forecasts and executive-level reporting.
- Support project controls functions including forecasting productivity analysis earned value management and schedule-cost integration.
- Evaluate changes in project scope and assess schedule impacts.
- Participate in project planning sessions risk reviews and constructability discussions.
- Continuously improve planning and scheduling practices across the organization.
What Youll Bring
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering Construction Management Project Controls Project Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of scheduling and planning experience within construction industrial infrastructure marine fabrication or heavy civil projects.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Experience developing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Knowledge of project controls forecasting earned value management cost control and schedule analysis.
- Experience integrating schedule cost and progress measurement systems.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies sequencing and execution planning.
- Ability to evaluate risks analyze impacts and develop practical recovery plans.
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects is considered an asset.

Salary: $90000 - $120000 per annum

Work Arrangement:
