Job Description: Role: SAP ISU Solution Architect

Duration: 12 months

Hybrid: 2 days a week in office

We are seeking an experienced SAP ISU / S/4HANA Utilities Solution Architect to lead solution design for a major rate harmonization and rebasing program within a large-scale SAP Customer Information System (CIS) platform.

This role focuses on designing and implementing solutions on top of an existing SAP CIS platform to enable harmonized customer rate structures billing transformations and regulatory compliance. You will work across SAP IS-U financial integrations digital platforms and downstream systems to support a large-scale transformation impacting millions of customer accounts and core billing processes.

What You Will Do:

- Lead the design of SAP IS-U / S/4HANA solutions supporting rate harmonization and rebasing initiatives across the Meter-to-Cash lifecycle

- Design and implement solutions to support harmonized customer classes rate categories and rate zone structures in SAP CIS

- Define architecture and approach for billing schema updates rate determination pricing logic and customer classification rules

- Support implementation of new billing structures and harmonized rate categories across customer segments

- Architect solutions for large-scale data conversion including billing class transformation and customer reclassification at scale

- Ensure alignment between legacy and harmonized rate constructs supporting audit traceability retro-billing and regulatory reporting requirements

- Design and govern integrations between SAP CIS and external systems including finance reporting digital and customer interaction platforms

- Modernize SAP service layers including MCF and OData services toward scalable API-based architectures

- Ensure data consistency across SAP CIS objects and downstream systems

- Provide architectural leadership across design build testing (SIT/UAT) and deployment phases

- Manage dependencies with other enterprise initiatives impacting billing and customer processes

- Collaborate with business regulatory finance and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions

- Lead design workshops architecture reviews and technical decision-making sessions

- Ensure solution designs align with Clean Core principles and avoid unnecessary complexity

- Identify opportunities during delivery to simplify integrations and improve long-term maintainability

Who You Are:

- Strong solution architect with experience in billing and regulatory transformation programs

- Comfortable operating in complex SAP CIS and multi-system environments

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

- Able to make decisions across competing priorities and dependencies

Qualifications Required:

- 10 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities

- Proven experience as a Solution Architect on SAP CIS / IS-U programs

- Deep knowledge of SAP IS-U modules: Billing FICA Device Management Customer Service Meter-to-Cash

- Strong experience with billing schema design and rate configuration

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrade programs

- Strong expertise in data migration data conversion and integration architecture (APIs OData/MCF IDoc RFC PI/PO or CPI)

- Experience integrating SAP with customer interaction or contact center platforms

- Utilities industry experience

Preferred:

- Experience with rate harmonization rebasing or regulatory billing programs

- Knowledge of SOX and regulatory compliance requirements

- Experience with SAP BTP and API enablement

- Familiarity with financial and reporting integrations

- SAP certifications in S/4HANA or IS-U
