Roadway Design Lead

We are looking for a Senior Professional to lead the Roadway Design Team at Systra Canada

• Leading the design team in the preparation of designs technical reports contract plans and documents required for the delivery of the Ministry of Transportations multi-year highway construction program.
• Design corridor alignments intersections detours and two-way conversion geometries.
• Integrate utilities and stakeholder requirements into staging plans and ensure constructability.
• Monitor overall work progress and technical performance on projects to ensure timelines and targets are met.
• Provide mentorship technical guidance and oversight to engineers and technical staff on projects.
• Ensure corporate and client QA/QC practices are implemented on all projects.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with clients approval agencies utility companies and contractors.
• Prepare proposals project work plans schedules and budgets.
• Ensure adherence to design standards policies and procedures.
• Mentor and develop junior design staff.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and . designation required.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in roadway and highway design and project management.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and prepare technical reports and contract documents.
• Proficient in highway design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation).
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and design standards.
• Experience preparing project budgets schedules and proposals.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and manage client relationships.
• Effective at coordinating with stakeholders agencies and contractors.
• Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience with Ministry of Transportation projects is an asset.
