Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse
Location: Powell River BC
Contract Length: flexible
Shifts Available: Days and Nights 8s and 12s
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join a high-performing perioperative team in Powell River BC. This contract opportunity is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and brings strong experience across multiple surgical specialties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms instruments and surgical equipment
- Collaborate closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain sterile technique and uphold infection prevention standards
- Monitor patient status and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative process
- Support surgical workflow and contribute to positive patient outcomes across a variety of cases
Qualifications
- Active BCCNM RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- Operating Room Certification required
- BLS Certification
- Strong communication organizational and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic acute care environment
