We are currently seeking a Rework Technician to join a leading automotive manufacturing this hands-on role you will be responsible for inspecting repairing and reworking vehicle components to ensure they meet quality and production standards. You will work closely with production quality and testing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive manufacturing experience and strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect repair and replace vehicle components as required.
Perform rework on vehicles and assemblies to meet quality specifications.
Install and route wiring harnesses air hoses and other vehicle components.
Perform drilling fitting and mechanical adjustments.
Read and interpret work instructions technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
Troubleshoot assembly and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Accurately document repairs inspections and findings.
Collaborate with production quality engineering and end-of-line testing teams.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Automotive Technology Mechanical Engineering Technician or a related field is considered an asset.
25 years of experience in automotive manufacturing vehicle assembly mechanical repair or a related environment.
Experience performing vehicle repairs component installation or manufacturing rework is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams blueprints and work instructions.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Experience working with electrical systems wiring harnesses or pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of automotive quality standards and manufacturing processes.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working under vehicles using hoists and lifting equipment.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks bending kneeling and reaching throughout the shift.
