Meaty Eats / Meaty Meats is seeking a hands-on Retail & Fresh Foods Operations Manager to lead our customer-facing retail and fresh food departments across specialty food operations.

This role oversees store execution and operations customer service fresh foods departments and standards (butchery bakery prepared foods grab-and-go hot table deli dairy) specialty foods grocery product freshness rotation waste staff coaching and food safety follow-through.

The ideal candidate has experience in specialty grocery premium food retail butcher shop prepared foods hospitality foodservice retail or store operations. You are organized hands-on customer-focused supportive of your team and comfortable managing a fast-paced fresh food environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading daily retail and fresh foods execution
• Managing department standards and store readiness
• Supporting supervisors and leads
• Improving customer experience and service recovery
• Monitoring product availability freshness rotation waste and shrink
• Reinforcing food safety sanitation training and operational discipline
• Coordinating with production logistics QA marketing and shared services

Requirements:

• 3 years retail food grocery hospitality or fresh foods leadership experience
• Strong people leadership and communication skills
• Understanding of customer service fresh product standards food safety inventory rotation and store operations
• Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced specialty food environment
