How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW

The Respiratory Therapist provides all respiratory services with a focus on providing oxygen therapy clinical and ventilatory support to the client while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety. The incumbent will work directly with all clients referral sources and funding agencies to deliver high quality clinical evidence based care. Additionally they continuously work on growing the overall business through promotion of our products and services.
  • Conducting full respiratory assessments.

  • Assessing and evaluating patient test results.

  • Delivering of equipment and supplies.

  • Determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams.

  • Identifying discrepancies with respiratory therapy treatments and conveying them to the care team.

  • Ensuring the completion of all documentation and form to initiate therapy.

  • Providing follow-up to Clients to evaluate effects of treatment plan.

  • Preparing funding documents and facilitating payment.

  • Demonstrating and educating patients on usage of products and services.

  • Contributing to the growth of Lakeland Respiratory by liaising with medical professionals.

Are you a MATCH
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist

  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body

  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills

  • Valid drivers license

  • Clear vulnerable persons check

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

  • Ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on call schedule

  • Previous experience in healthcare field an asset

  • Fluent in written and spoken English (or French if required)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Google applications and Android
