The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Hematology/Oncology/Nephrology Services and under the direction of the Clinical Leader the Registration and Scheduling Clerk is responsible for patient scheduling timely registration and processing of patients with appointments in the Nephrology Clinic and Renal Dialysis Unit. The Registration and Scheduling Clerk interacts with colleagues patients families students and partners in a respectful and collaborative manner keeping with the principles of family-centered care and Health Centre standards to meet the needs of patients and families.

Your Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduate of a recognized Office Administration Program is an asset.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology required. Testing may be conducted on candidates.
Demonstrated accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required. Testing will be conducted on short-listed candidates and results will be factored into the candidates overall suitability for this position.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required.
Knowledge of Nephrology medical terminology an asset.
Previous experience in registration and scheduling required preferably in a health care setting.
Previous experience with Meditech and CWS preferred.
Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a variety of inter-professional team members required.
High degree of initiative diligence attention to detail and self-discipline required.
Excellent multi-tasking organizational and prioritization skills required.
Competency in other languages is considered an asset.
