Location: Southwood Care Centre

Positions Available: Casual position with open availability required

Salary: Salary ranges from $18.80 to $24.32 per hour

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in scheduling preparing and implementing therapeutic programs which support Intercares philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of customers as directed
• Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance
• Documents care programs and interactions as required on the residents health care record
• Participate in outings and other special events
• Demonstrate respect to all customers by working with them in a calm courteous manner

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

• A Recreation Therapy Aide Diploma is preferred; a Recreation Therapy Aide certificate and/or a minimum of two years as recreation therapy assistant or related field experience in a continuing care setting will be considered
• Ability to read write and comprehend the English language
• Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
• Preference will be given to those candidates who have a therapy aide certificate from a recognized program
• Drivers License Class 4 is an asset
