Requires a positive Controlled Goods assessment as personnel will have direct access to hardware software technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
Required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance at the NATO Secret Level.
Position Summary
We have a current vacancy for a Receptionist who will be responsible for providing a range of administrative services for events taking place in a large collaboration space. Services to be provided include but are not limited to catering boardroom scheduling and visitor management. The Receptionist will be interfacing with various levels across the organization and external customers requiring excellent communication skills.
The Receptionist will also provide reception coverage greet visitors and configure / distribute security badges. Positioned at Front of House the Receptionist shall ensure that all employees and visitors enter the building in accordance with Security Requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Greet visitors ensure they present valid photo identification sign the Visitors Log distribute appropriate security badge and announce to relevant HOST individual or department;
Coordinate track validate and monitor visitors access through Visit Management System;
Distribution of incoming mail;
Follow company policies and processes and maintain all aspects of electronic filing systems including logging retention and disposal;
Work with both internal and external tools such as JIRA and SharePoint to manage activities;
Work closely with Security Team to ensure the highest standard of Security compliance is met;
Support with on-site event/meeting/training/team building by booking meeting spaces coordinating catering orders facilitating payment and tracking details;
Manage competing priorities while supporting several initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior customer service experience and/ or experience in a similar role
Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Attention to detail
An interest in working in a fast-paced environment with an opportunity for growth
Ability to work independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English and French

Special Position Requirements
Schedule: 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday.
The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target is between Total Target Cash (TTC) $40000 - $45000 CAD Annual.
This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including but not limited to the employees career path history competencies skills and performance as well as the companys annual salary budget the customers program requirements and the companys internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicants status protected by local state or federal law.
