About the Job
Are you looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance while gaining hands-on corporate experience Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Receivables Clerk Summer Student to join our Head Office Credit Team for a four-month co-op placement. Reporting directly to the Credit Supervisor Corporate youll play an important role in processing customer payments supporting collections activities and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for students or early-career accounting professionals looking to develop practical experience in accounts receivable customer service and financial administration.
Hourly rate: $21 - $22
What Youll Be Doing
Receiving reviewing and processing customer payments including cheques credit cards and EFT payments
Performing customer account reconciliations and account spreads as required
Supporting the Collections Team by providing invoices and backup documentation through online portals email and mail
Assisting with customer master data maintenance to ensure accurate billing information
Responding to customer billing inquiries with professionalism and attention to detail
Providing vacation and absence coverage for members of the Credit and Collections Team
Completing administrative tasks such as reporting filing scanning data entry and document retrieval
Supporting additional accounting and finance projects as assigned by management
Heres What You Need
Minimum six months of accounting or administrative experience preferred
Experience with Oracle Cloud is an asset
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable using computer systems and software for data entry and reporting
Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
