Position Introduction:

This is a full time permanent position and an opportunity to work with a fun family orientated organization in a growing company division. Katch Kan offers a competitive salary and benefit packages and an engaging work environment. We are looking for an experienced R&D Specialist to support the research development design testing and continuous improvement of new and existing Katch Kan products. This role will work closely with engineering production sales and field teams to develop practical innovative solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring product quality performance safety and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical and product development skills who can take ideas fromconcept through testing and into production.

This job is a safety-sensitive position and therefore you must pass a drug and alcohol test to be eligible for employment.

Role Accountabilities:

• Lead the research development design and continuous improvement of new and existing oil and gas safety and containment products.
• Develop test and refine prototypes materials components and manufacturing processes to ensure optimal product performance quality and durability.
• Collaborate with engineering production sales and field teams to translate customer and operational needs into practical innovative product solutions.
• Evaluate and select materials processes and production techniques that support product performance efficiency cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
• Support and coordinate production activities to ensure new and existing products are manufactured efficiently safely and to established quality standards.
• Develop and improve production workflows procedures and SOPs to support consistency efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot product and manufacturing issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions and improvements.
• Ensure products and R&D activities comply with applicable industry standards safety regulations quality requirements and company procedures.
• Maintain technical documentation and support the development of products from initial concept through testing production and commercialization; perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in R&D product development and/or manufacturing preferably in oilfield or industrial products.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes materials quality standards and ISO quality systems.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping testing troubleshooting and production scaling.
• Strong project management communication and problem-solving skills.
• CNC machining experience is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced safety-focused environment.
