Quality Engineer

• .Troubleshoot Product Failures
• Write and execute test plans to find the root cause of failures
• Work with internal and external stakeholders on corrective and preventative actions
• Provide NCR and 8D documentation for the failure analysis
• Provide customers with technical updates on the failure analysis
• Design test fixtures and software solutions to expedite execution of testing

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Mechatronics Electronics Engineering Technology Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of 3-5 years of quality-related work experience
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid experience in setting up and using DAQs sensors and actuators
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and disassembly and competent with hand tools (screwdrivers wrenches hand drill etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings quality control / inspection plans and product specifications
• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including CNC machining injection molding extruding welding additive manufacturing surface treatment etc.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling and design software such as Solidworks
• Experience in using bench tools (oscilloscope power analyzer logic analyzer multimer etc.
• Demonstrated experience in testing and qualifying electro-mechanical parts and systems
• Experience in root-causing product failures 8D reporting as well as developing corrective and preventative actions recommendations

Skills:

• Excellent English skills for internal/external communication and technical writing
• Willingness to travel up 10% of the time
