Syntronic Production Services Canada is an electronic manufacturing services provider supporting the build inspection and delivery of electronic and electromechanical products. We are looking for a Quality Director to lead quality across the site and ensure our manufacturing processes quality systems and customer deliverables meet a high standard of performance. This role will be responsible for developing the quality team improving the quality management system supporting customer audits and escalations and driving practical improvements across production inspection and supplier quality. The ideal candidate has led quality in an electronics manufacturing environment and knows how to build structure accountability and consistency without losing touch with daily operations.
What youll do
Lead the overall quality function for the manufacturing site including quality assurance quality control inspection compliance customer quality and continuous improvement.
Own and improve the quality management system ensuring procedures standards audits reporting and day-to-day practices support customer and business requirements.
Set quality priorities define key performance indicators and use data to identify trends risks and improvement opportunities across production.
Work closely with operations engineering supply chain and senior leadership to improve manufacturing quality process control product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Lead customer-facing quality activities including audits escalations quality reviews corrective actions and ongoing communication around quality performance.
Oversee NCR CAPA root cause analysis supplier quality and internal audit processes to ensure issues are addressed effectively and improvements are sustained.
Develop and support the quality team through coaching clear expectations process discipline and practical problem-solving.
Drive a strong quality culture across the organization making sure quality is built into the process rather than treated only as a final inspection activity.
Provide hands-on support during urgent quality issues customer escalations production concerns or audit preparation when the team needs additional technical or leadership support.
Stay close to day-to-day manufacturing quality activities including inspection findings NCRs corrective actions and recurring production issues to ensure problems are understood and resolved effectively.
Support and guide the quality team through complex investigations customer responses audit findings and time-sensitive quality concerns.
Act as a senior escalation point for internal quality issues customer quality concerns supplier-related problems and cross-functional production challenges.
What youll need to get the job done
10 years of experience in quality manufacturing quality quality systems or operations quality within electronics manufacturing electromechanical assembly or a similar technical manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ISO 9001 quality management systems including audits procedures corrective actions documentation and continuous improvement activities.
Previous experience leading quality teams and owning quality systems within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes PCBA assembly inspection standards process control nonconforming material corrective actions and customer quality requirements.
Experience working with ISO quality management systems and industry standards such as IPC-A-610 J-STD-001 or similar manufacturing quality standards.
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with production teams technical teams customers suppliers and senior leadership.
Ability to use quality data audit findings customer feedback and operational metrics to guide decisions and improve overall business performance.
Must be eligible to obtain Controlled Goods security clearance.
