Quality Control Inspector Fabrication and Rubber Lining

Location- Surrey BC
Work Arrangement- Onsite split shift (initially day shift for training then 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.)

What youll do
Inspection & Quality Control:Perform receiving inspections of raw materials and fabrications from suppliers and subcontractors including physical goods and quality documents ensuring acceptance rejection or correction as required. Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel and rubber-lined products to verify compliance with drawings internal standards customer specifications and applicable codes.
Documentation & Reporting:Document inspection results by completing reports signoffs and logs. Build quality document packages for customer submission and review quality documents for subcontracted fabrications. Generate nonconformance reports as needed.
Technical Expertise:Read and interpret technical drawings and regulatory and customer specifications. Apply knowledge of MTRs NDE welding codes and rubber lining specifications.

What youll bring
Must-haves:
Bachelors degree in a mechanical-related field or 5 years of quality control experience in metal fabrications
Minimum 3 years of experience inspecting fabricated steel and/or rubber-lined products
CSA W178.2 Level II Weld Inspector certification

CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI certification or eligibility for certification

Nice-to-haves:
Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment
AMPP CIP (NACE) level 1 or 2 certification
First Aid certification and confined space entry training
Experience with SAP and intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Windows Word Excel Outlook Adobe Acrobat)

Compensation: $49-53/hr

This vacancy is for a 1 year contract with chance of permanent employment when complete.
