Job Summary

QA/QC Coordinator

The QA/QC Coordinator is accountable for supporting the implementation and administration of the Quality Assurance Program to ensure services provided comply with the specified requirements.

Please note that this position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance. This role is based out of Ottawa and will require regular travel to project sites in Petawawa Kingston Borden and other locations as needed.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Partnerwithemployees and subcontractors concerning quality functions and daily inspections.

  • Coordinate with the client on project specific activities includinginspections and review of documentation.

  • Support the maintenance of material and installation traceability requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Responsible for documentation review analysis and maintenance including various reports logs turnover documentation.

  • Support the implementation of CAR NCR required from audit findings in collaboration with the Quality Lead.

  • Support the Quality Lead in the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project-specific quality plans and procedures

  • Support the development implementation and maintenance of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Conducting daily site inspections of installed work to verify compliance with project requirements specifications and applicable codes

  • Review and approve quality documentationfrom subcontractors.

  • Create and maintain punch list deficiencies and walkdown packages.

  • Other duties as assignedto meet business needs.

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelors Degree orDiploma in Engineering or related discipline

  • 3yearsexperience of quality assurance/ quality control experience within construction related environments.

  • Experience with ISO 9001

  • Strong understanding of client specifications applicable codes and regulatory requirements and their implementation in the field.

  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Proficient with computer programs including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office

  • Understanding of Jurisdictional Authority of requirements

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment

  • Self-sufficient with effective and efficient problem solving and decision-making skills; thoughtfulproactiveand creative

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in a challenging fast-paced environment

  • Ability to forge grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictableactivitiescapable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic businessenvironment

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them

  • Strong analytical critical thinking problem-solving skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Willingness and ability to travel between multiple project sites as required.
